Wednesday 7 August, 4:30pm, Societies Pavilion on the Maes.
It may be difficult to appreciate that the world’s finest porcelain was created in the locality of the National Eisteddfod, but that is a fact… come and hear how the Nantgarw China Works was founded by William Billingsley and how his feat was re-created 200 years later, and hopes for the future. The Chairman of the China Works, Dr Eurwyn Wiliam, will tell the remarkable story at 4.30pm on Wednesday 7 August in the Societies Pavilion on the Maes.
